Definition

Each assessment below names the method it uses, so its output can be argued with rather than accepted. None returns a single opaque score: the readiness assessment returns named gaps with owners, because “68 % ready” is not something anyone can put in a plan. The ESPR sets the structure these follow.

Delegated act scope checker

Answers the first question anyone asks: does this reach us, and when. Scope is decided per product group, so the answer depends on what you make rather than on how large you are.

Methode
Maps your product groups against the ESPR working plan and the instruments already in force, then returns the expected sequence rather than a single invented deadline.
Rückgaben
A per-group list of instruments that reach you, with the expected timing and roughly eighteen months from delegated act to enforcement.

What it needs from you

  • Product groups you place on the EU market
  • Markets supplied
  • Whether any product contains a battery above 2 kWh

Runs in the workspace at /app/industries.

Send your product list and we will return the scope assessment annotated with the instruments. Ask for it.

Passport readiness assessment

Tells you which attributes are missing and who has to produce them. Deliberately not a score: "68 % ready" is not something anyone can put in a plan.

Methode
Compares the attributes you hold against the data set required for each product group, and returns the named gaps with the instrument requiring each and the function that owns it.
Rückgaben
A gap register: attribute, legal basis, owner and the date it is needed by.

What it needs from you

  • Product group
  • Attributes currently held
  • Supplier tier holding each missing attribute

Runs in the workspace at /app/readiness.

We will run the first assessment with you against a real product group. Ask for it.

Producer responsibility fee model

The business case most passport programmes are missing. Eco-modulated fees move with recyclability, so better data is a lower invoice rather than a nicer report.

Methode
Applies each market’s eco-modulation basis to your declared tonnage and design-for-recycling grades, then models the delta from a grade improvement.
Rückgaben
Current fee exposure per market, and the modelled saving from moving a component up a grade.

What it needs from you

  • Markets and waste streams
  • Tonnage placed on market per period
  • Design-for-recycling grade per packaging component

Runs in the workspace at /app/epr.

Send one representative pack and we will model the fee delta from a redesign. Ask for it.

Data carrier selector

A decision made once and paid for on every unit. It is driven by where the product is read and by what the surface can carry, not by which technology is newest.

Methode
Scores QR, DataMatrix, NFC and UHF RFID against your read environment, surface constraint, unit economics and whether item-level identity is required.
Rückgaben
A recommended carrier with the reasoning, and the cases where a second carrier is justified.

What it needs from you

  • Where the product is read, and by whom
  • Available marking surface and its durability
  • Whether authentication or item-level identity is needed

Runs in the workspace at /app/qr-codes.

Describe the product and its handling and we will tell you what will still be readable in ten years. Ask for it.

Circularity baseline

Establishes what you can currently evidence, which is usually less than what is currently claimed. Reports three separate figures rather than one composite, because they are measured on different scales.

Methode
Calculates recycled content by mass with its chain-of-custody model stated, design-for-recycling assessment, and EN 45554 repairability where the product group defines a scale.
Rückgaben
Three named metrics with their methods, and the evidence gap behind any figure you cannot currently support.

What it needs from you

  • Bill of materials with recycled fractions
  • Chain-of-custody model per material
  • Disassembly and spare-part data

Runs in the workspace at /app/circularity.

We will baseline one product and show you which of your existing claims are evidenced. Ask for it.

Disassembly time assessment

Disassembly time is unusual among sustainability metrics in being directly observable — a person, a stopwatch and a set of tools produce a defensible figure in an afternoon. Most manufacturers have never measured their own.

Methode
Records operations, tool changes and elapsed time to reach each target component, then compares the result against the labour budget recovered material value can support.
Rückgaben
Elapsed time per target component, the number of distinct tools required, and which components fall outside the economic labour budget.

What it needs from you

  • The product, and a standard tool set
  • The components a recycler would want to reach
  • Recovered material value per component

Runs in the workspace at /app/circularity.

We will run the assessment against one of your products and give you the numbers and the recording. Ask for it.

Green claim risk screen

Screens claims currently in market against the substantiation requirements that now apply. Claims written before the rules tightened are the most exposed, and they are still on packs and pages nobody has revisited.

Methode
Tests each claim against four criteria — a recognised method, an explicit scope, current supporting data, and equivalent treatment of anything compared — and flags generic claims with nothing specific behind them.
Rückgaben
A ranked list of claims by exposure, with the specific reason each would fail and what evidence would fix it.

What it needs from you

  • Every environmental claim in use, including on artwork
  • The method and data behind each
  • The date each figure was established

Runs in the workspace at /app/compliance.

Send us your claim set and we will return the screen annotated with the relevant provisions. Ask for it.

Attribute gap analysis

Establishes which required attributes you can actually supply today, at what granularity and with what provenance. It answers the question that decides programme scope, and it does so before anybody builds an integration.

Methode
Maps required attributes for a product group against your source systems, testing each for whether the value is addressable, held at the right granularity and carries usable provenance.
Rückgaben
A per-attribute status of held, partial or missing, with the specific reason for each partial and which supplier tier holds what is absent.

What it needs from you

  • Product group and the applicable data set
  • Your source systems and what each holds
  • A sample bill of materials

Runs in the workspace at /app/readiness.

We will run the analysis for one product family and return the gap list with an estimate of effort. Ask for it.
